Most of us will have a scar of some description. This trauma on the body no matter how small can have an effect on the tissue around it and are an ever present reminder of an event.
MSTR® - an innovative, pain-free, natural approach to working on your scar
Mcloughlin Scar Tissue Release also known as MSTR® is a technique which is innovative, pain-free and a natural method of helping you with your scars wether large or small. From Caesarean scars to mastectomy scars to scars obtained in childhood the technique can be used on any scar no matter how old they are.
Using a gentle, finger-tip pressure which is applied to the area of the scar to help free any restrictions that there may be in the scar. The pressure used is always within your tolerance. The technique can in most cases enact a change in the presentation or feeling of the scar with in the first few minutes. Any changes enacted on the scar during treatment will not disappear once treatment has ended.
This technique can be used on large or small scars anywhere on the body once the scar has healed. I have so far worked on an upper lip, Ring finger, Caesarean Scar and Shin all with good effects.
The technique can:
Present an improvement in how the scar looks and feels to the touch
Improve how you feel about your scar emotionally
Improve range of movement
Aide with aches and pains in surrounding muscles
Improve pain associated with the scar
Improve circulation and lymph flow to the area of the skin

MSTR has also been shown to help with the symptoms of Plantar Fasciitis

Work so far:
Ring Finger:
The scar has a more natural skin tone colour to it and the lump has not returned. The client also noticed after the third treatment that there was some more tingling which would suggest that circulation and lymph flow under the scar has improved which has has a positive effect on the stiffness and the coldness of that finger in particular.
Hand:
The scar has little to no depression underneath. The scar feels smoother and also looks to have faded slightly and blends in more with the surrounding skin tone.
Chicken pox scar:
Less depressed after two treatments lasting just 7 minutes each.
